AI Course Assistant

If your Instructor has enabled it, you'll be able to interact with the AI Course Assistant, in the lower left/right hand side of your eClass site. Click on the Einstein-esque logo and a chat window will appear:
 

You may interact with the bot. You can ask it anything, and if the information is available, it will return your response. If you press the speaker icon, the bot will relay the message through your speakers

Typical queries include:

• What is the mark breakdown of the course?
• Where can I find the contact information?
• How are the tutorials divided?
• What is this course about, anyhow? 
• Or, anything you can think of that's related to the course.

If it does not know the answer, it will inform you that it is not programmed in that area: Try rephrasing your question. 

AI Learning Companion

If your Instructor has enabled My Learning Companion, you will see it in the AI Course Assistant block on the right hand side of your eClass site:

 

There are two functions you can make use of to enhance your learning and comprehension of the subject matter: My Tutor and Quiz Me On… My Tutor allows you to select a body of knowledge that the Instructor has granted access to - you can then ask it questions about the subject matter and it will generate responses based on that subject information. It will essentially tutor you on the content, interactively. The other is Quiz me on… Similarly to My Tutor, you select a body of knowledge granted by the Instructor and the AI will analyze it and prepare questions for you based on the content. Like My Tutor, it is interactive and will give you feedback. 

My Tutor

1. Navigate to My Tutor in the AI Course Assistant block 
2. Select the course content you wish to learn about from the Course Modules available
   
   
   
   You may only select a single module at a time
    
3. Wait a moment as the bot prepares,
4. A new chat will open with your AI tutor,
   
   
   
    
5. Type in a question or respond to the bot’s prompt,
6. Click Send.
7. You can also Download Chat or Summarize Chat from the bottom of the chat page.
8. If you select Download Chat a copy of the chat will be downloaded.
9. If you select Summarize Chat  a summary of the chat will be downloaded.
    

You may also view your previously saved chat by clicking on the sandwich menu at the top right corner on you chat page.

To exit the tutor, use the course navigation banner at the top.

Quiz me on…

1. Navigate to Quiz me on in the AI Course Assistant block 
2. Select the course content you want to be quizzed on.
   
   
   
   You may only select a single module at a time.
    
3. Wait a moment as the bot prepares,
4. The bot will quiz you on the topic in a new chat, 
   
    
   
    
5. Type in your answer selection to the bot’s prompt,
6. Click Send 
7. You can also Download Chat or Summarize Chat from the bottom of the chat page.
8. If you select Download Chat a copy of the chat will be downloaded.
9. If you select Summarize Chat  a summary of the chat will be downloaded.

You may also view your previously saved chat by clicking on the sandwich menu at the top right corner on you chat page.
