  1. Visit yorku.zoom.us and sign in using your Passport York credentials.
  2. Click the red Sign In button on the welcome page.
  3. Click on your profile picture in the top right, then My AccountMenu - My Account
  4. Once signed in, click Settings -> Recording on the left hand navigation pane, and under Advanced cloud recording settings, you'll see Create audio transcript. Make sure it is enabled. Getting to Create Audio transcript in Settings
  5. At the end of the meeting, the host or guest (if allowed to - by default, all participants are allowed to save transcripts) must save the transcript manually if they wish to have a separate copy. This can be done in meeting by going to More -> Transcript -> Save transcript.

Be sure to do this before the host closes the meetingSaving transcripts locally

Please note that the accuracy of the transcript will be affected by variables such as the clarity of the speaker (elocution, cadence, volume); and whether or not there are multiple voices, such as if the speaker is in a room where other noises may enter their microphone, to name a few.

For more information on Zoom and how to configure audio transcriptions, please refer to their documentation here.
